i went into the o2 shop in north london, they wanted £14 a month for insurance and said i had to buy it then. Went online and paid £5.88. It pays to look around!

Hi Sandy, hope you like your new iPhone! The site my customers recommend most for iPhone insurance is Supercover Insurance.

Its cheaper than O2 and there is no 12 month contract.

Please let us know what you think about their service if you take out a policy.

I decided to get an iphone after my current phone stopped working due to rain. So I was wondering if anyone could suggest some sort of insurance for the iphone. Thanks for the tip to use homeowner ins in place of IPhone ins. It really chaps my craw when sellers say”you HAVE to buy now or you can’t get it later”. Fear to induce ins sales?!? Grrrrrr

It is always advisable to ask pertinent questions and more so when buying any sort of insurance like iphone insurance. I think all should be aware of high pressure selling techniques but considering the number of losses for iphones it is then prudent to take out some of protection against loss or theft of ones iphone.

Wow, I was unaware of this iPhone insurance scandal. These practices definitely seem unethical and should be investigated to fullest extent of the law. I wonder if Apple is aware of what some of its reps are saying to sell iPhone insurance. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

I looked in to geting my iphone on the contents insurance, but the exess fee is £175.00! No Way- that is not funny, what good is it offering electrical items cover outside of home with such a high exess fee???
